The Young Academy of Sweden is an interdisciplinary academy bringing together a select group of some of Sweden’s most outstanding early-career researchers. The academy provides an independent platform that gives early-career researchers a strong voice in research policy and works to engage children and young people with research. It brings together researchers across universities and academic disciplines. The academy has 35–40 members, each elected for a five-year term.
When the Young Academy of Sweden was established in 2011 at the initiative of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the foundation was its first funder and has continued to provide support ever since.
