Gaultier Lambert

Swedish Foundations’ Starting Grant Fellow 2023

Project summary

A deeper understanding of complex systems

Gaultier’s overarching research question is how to understand complex systems. More specifically, he studies quantum semiconductors and a type of magnetic material known as spin glasses. This field of research gained wider attention after Giorgio Parisi was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2021.

In the project “Log-correlated fields and applications to statistical mechanics”, Gaultier uses probability theory and develops new models that can help researchers explain the behaviour of the particular materials he studies.

Gaultier Lambert is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Statistics. He was awarded funding through the 2023 Swedish Foundations’ Starting Grant (SFSG) call.
